Prairie View to host education symposium Thursday

Prairie View Inc. will host its 2015 education symposium Thursday, Oct. 29, at its location at 1901 E. First St., Newton.

Breakfast and registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. Cost of attendance for professionals and students is $95 per person.

John Arden, author, psychologist and director of training for Northern California Kaiser Perma?nente Medical Centers, will deliver the keynote address on the topic of brain-based therapy. During his 35 years of experience, Arden has presented in 20 countries and all but four states.

Brain-based therapy integrate neuroscience and psychotherapy, synthesizing the biological and psychological into a new vision for psychotherapy.

Six hours of continuing education credit for this symposium is offered by Prairie View, and is approved by the American Psycho?logical Association for psychologists, by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regula?tory Board for social workers, and the Kansas State Board of Nursing for Nurses.
