Peabody competes at Elyria track meet

 

Aubrey Craig took sixth in the girls 400-meter dash at the Elyria track meet on Tuesday.

Caleb VanCurren placed third in the boys 800 meters run for Peabody at the Elyria track meet on Tuesday.

Thomas Smith clears the hurdles in the boys 300 Meter hurdles.

 

 

 

Mya Winter placed fourth in the girls 3200 Meter run on Tuesday.

 

 

Hillsboro– Peabody-Burns track participated in the Elyria Track Meet held in Hillsboro on Tuesday, April 9. The boys took fifth out of six teams while the girls took sixth out of six. The team is small this year, but they have participants in both field and running events.

Taven Scott came in at fifth for boys triple jump with 34-07.50. He also came in second in the boys 110-meter hurdles.

The team had two top six finishers in the 3200 meter run for boys. Caleb VanCuren came in second at 12:00.85, and Jasper Talkington came in sixth with a time of 15:08.58. VanCuren came in third for the boys 800-meter run.

Thomas Smith came in first for the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.27.

For the girls, Mya Winter and Sarah Spencer took fourth and fifth in the girls 800-meter run. Spencer took third in the 1600 meter run.

Madeline Beal placed seventh in the girls long jump with a distance of 13-05.50. Aubrey Craig came in at seventh for girls shot put at 24-01.00.

Coming – Peabody had a meet on Tuesday in Haven and they will have their next meet at 4:30 p.m. on April 23 in Goessel.
