died Dec. 21 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
The service was Dec. 27 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro.
She was born Feb. 1, 1918, to Peter D. and Elizabeth (Penner) Leppke in Collinsville, Okla. On June 10, 1943, she was married to Ted Klaassen, who predeceased her in 1970. On July 21, 1979, she was married to Elgin Bartel, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Ron and wife Faith Klaassen of Newark, N.J., Kevin and wife Barbara Klaassen of Big Spring Texas, Rollind and wife Melissa Bartel of rural Hillsboro and Keith Bartel of Wichita; daughters Loretta and husband Ron Paxton of Wichita, Diane and husband Tyler Ewert of Wichita, Kay and Pete Bartel of Wichita; daughter-in-law Janell Klaassen of rural Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
