DEATH: Penelope (Penny) Hein-Unruh, 62

Penelope (Penny) Hein-Unruh, 62, of Los Angeles, retired assistant vice provost for academic advising at UCLA?s College of Letters and Science, died May 8 at her home.

The memorial service will be held June 7 with time and place to be announced at a later date.

She was born March 9, 1952, to Marvin and Mary Helen Hein. On May 26, 1972, she was married to David Unruh, who survives.

Other survivors include daughter Whitney of Los Angeles; mother Mary Helen Hein of Fresno; mother-in-law Dayle Unruh of Hillsboro; sisters Patricia Hein of Wichita and Holly and husband Scott Taylor of Aptos, Calif.; sister-in-law Nancy and husband Joel Klaassen of Hillsboro and one niece and two nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Penelope Hein-Unruh Scholarship Fund and sent in care of Westwood Presbyterian Church, 10822 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90024.
