TC women swim at Kansas Classic

The Tabor College women?s swim team competed at the Kansas Classic in Topeka Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday, Kelly Smith, Tessa Downs, Whitney Livesay and Sammie Norton placed 16th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.90), while Kianna Hinerman, Phylicia Don, Liz Janssen and Sarah Schulte were 17th (2:00.80).

Norton, Angela Smith, Livesay and Kelly Smith were 18th in the 400 medley relay (4:29.15), while Schulte, Downs, Don and Janssen were 19th (4:56.58).

On Saturday, Schulte, Angela Smith, Livesay and Norton placed 18th in the 200 medley relay (2:03.86), while Downs, Hinerman, Don and Janssen finished 19th (2:17.94).

Angela Smith was 24th in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.47), and Livesay 32nd in the 100 butterfly (1:07.14).

Norton, Kelly Smith, Angela Smith and Livesay were 12th in the 800 freestyle relay (8:44.32).

On Sunday, Angela Smith was 26th in the 200 breaststroke (2:46.56), while Schulte was 31st in the 200 backstroke (2:29.02).

Kelly Smith, Livesay, Angela Smith and Norton were 17th in the 400 freestyle relay (3:59.40); while Downs, Hinerman, Don and Janssen were 18th (4:31.52).

As a team, Tabor finished fifth with 146 points behind the University of Kansas (1,283), Iowa State (1,093), Northern Iowa (441) and Nebraska-Omaha (378).

Coming?The Bluejays will compete at the Jayhawk Open Dec. 6.
