TC volleyball 1-1 for the week

After suffering a five-set loss at Bethel earlier in the week, Tabor rebounded with a three-set victory at McPherson Friday (25-21, 25-18, 25-16).

Tabor?s attacking percentage gradually improved throughout the three sets. Katelin Horstick led the Bluejays with 13 kills. Tena Loewen added 10. Megan Voth had 20 assists; Kelsea Brittain had 16. Horstick and Brooke Holloway each contributed a solo block.

Bethel?The Bluejays battled the Threshers to five sets Wednesday, but lost in the end, 3-2.

Bethel took Set 1, 25-18, but Tabor responded by winning Sets 2 and 3, 25-20 and 25-23, respectively. Bethel tied the game with a 25-20 win in Set 4 and went on to claim the victory with a 15-13 win in the final set.

Tena Loewen recorded a game-high 20 kills. She also contributed three service aces. Kateline Horstick added 12, as well as three solo blocks. Megan Voth had 27 assists; Kelsea Brittain had 22. Whitney Maple had a game-high 17 digs.

Coming?Tabor (8-4, 11-13) will host Ottawa (10-2, 17-9) tonight at 7 p.m. and will host Kansas Wesleyan (11-1, 19-9) Friday in a 7 p.m. contest.
