TC men’s soccer defeats Spires

After their only game of the week was cancelled because of weather Sept. 23, the Tabor College men?s soccer team was back in action Saturday in the team?s first KCAC game of the season.

The Bluejays earned a 4-1 victory over the University of Saint Mary, jumping to a 3-1 lead by halftime.

Francisco Gallinal put Tabor on the board in the 18th minute, and Bransyn Felty scored a goal four minutes later. The Spires managed their only goal in the 30th minute.

The Bluejays scored once more before the break when Dominique Mays assisted Edgar Trejo with a goal. Felty added Tabor?s final goal, assisted by Alberto Checa, in the 86th minute.

Tabor outshot the Spires 18-7. Goalkeeper Tom Gaskell had three saves.

Coming?Tabor (1-0, 2-6) hosts Sterling (0-1, 2-8)?tonight at 7:30 p.m. and will travel to Southwestern (0-1, 3-6)?Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. game.
