The Tabor College swim teams competed at the College of Saint Mary triangular Saturday.
?Adam Walsh and Liz Janssen had probably the two most exciting races of the day,? coach Nate Duell said. ?Walsh won the 100-yard breaststroke by .01 and Janssen dropped two seconds off her best time to take second in the 200-yard freestyle.?
As a team, the women defeated the host school, 46-43, and lost to Morningside, 46-41, while the men lost to Morningside, 71-22.
Walsh, Cody Smith, Ben Dorsett and Brett Magee achieved a national-qualifying time of 3:55.60 in the men?s 400-yard medley relay.
Smith broke his own school record with a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (22.40).
Walsh broke the 100-yard backstroke school record while leading off the medley relay. Magee later bettered the record.
Coming?Tabor will swim at the Oklahoma City Community College Invitational Feb. 13-14.
