The Tabor College men?s and women?s swim teams competed at the Hendrix Relays in Conway, Ark.
On Friday, the men?s team finished fifth of five teams with a score of 126. Oklahoma Baptist won with 434.
The men turned in three top-three performances.
Cody Smith, Josiah Robertson and Tanner Sechrist placed third in the 3×100-yard breaststroke relay with a time of 3:38.08.
Smith, Brett Magee, Ben Dorsett and Sechrist finished third in the 500-yard freestyle relay in 4:37.25.
Dorsett, Sechrist, Magee and Smith also took third in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:33.11.
On Friday, the Bluejay women placed fourth as a team with a score of 238. Oklahoma Baptist won with 434.
Tabor was led by Liz Janssen, Sammie Norton, Angela Smith and Kelly Smith, who placed third in the 500-yard freestyle relay in 5:17.14.
Tabor returned to competition Saturday, where the men placed fifth with a score of 132.
Top-10 performances were: Cody Smith placed third in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.67; Smith, Tanner Sechrist, Brett Magee and Ben Dorsett third in the 400 freestyle relay (3:28.61); Sechrist was seventh in the 200 individual medley (2:11.17); Dorsett was seventh in the 100 freestyle (52.55), Smith eighth (52.88), and Magee ninth (52.89); Dorsett was eighth in the 200 freestyle (2:00.04); Magee was 10th in the 200 freestyle (2:02.12); and Josiah Robertson was 10th in the 200 backstroke (2:36.42)
For the women, who placed fifth of six teams with 136 points, Angela Smith was fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:45.95); Sarah Schulte, Angela Smith, Whitney Livesay and Kelly Smith placed sixth in the 400-yard medley relay (4:33.42); Sammie Norton was sixth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.48) and sixth in the 100 freestyle (59.16); Kelly Smith was seventh in the 200 freestyle (2:09.52); Kelly Smith, Schulte, Livesay and Norton eighth in the 400 freestyle relay (4:03.88); Angela Smith was ninth in the 200 individual medley (2:27.46); Livesay was 10th in the 200 freestyle (2:13.05); and Schulte 10th in the 200 backstroke (2:30.60).
Coming?The women will compete at the University of Kansas Saturday at 1 p.m.
Both teams will compete at the Morningside Invita?tional in Sioux City, Iowa, Nov. 15.
