Tabor men’s soccer loses two last week

After falling to McPherson earlier in the week, the Tabor College men?s soccer team lost in double overtime at Bethany Saturday, 2-1.

The Swedes took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but Tabor evened the count when Philipp Wahl scored in the 72nd minute. After a scoreless first overtime period, Bethany scored the winning goal in the 101st minute.

Bethany outshot Tabor 19-15, but Tabor held a 7-4 shots-on-goal advantage.

Goalkeeper Tom Gaskell had two saves.

McPherson?Tabor lost, 2-0, Wednesday to a team receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches? Top 25 poll.

McPherson took the lead just 19 seconds into the game and scored a second goal in the 69th minute.

Although McPherson held a 16-12 advantage in shots taken, Tabor actually took more shots-on-goal, 6-5.

Goalkeeper Austin Sisk had three saves.

Coming?Tabor (3-4, 4-11) was scheduled to host Saint Gregory?s Tuesday in a makeup game and will host Ottawa (2-4-1, 2-13-1) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Bluejays? final home game of the regular season.
