Coach Stuart Holmes said Dylan Wiens, Jacob Isaac and Dakota Klein are focused and looking forward to their second season.

?As our guys dedicate themselves to getting better, they will find the satisfaction that goes with working hard as well as an increased measure of success,? Holmes said.

?Every day we will be looking to improve in practice and make progress throughout the season. Ten?nis provides a great opportunity to challenge yourself mentally as well as physically, and we want to grow in both areas each day whether at practice or in competition.?

Holmes knows the level of tennis in this part of the state is pretty stout.

?Certainly here in central Kansas, we get the opportunity to compete against some of the best 2A and 3A players in the state,? he said. ?We?ll be working hard to become solid tennis players and compete against the best.?

The Trojans were scheduled to open their season March 31 at Conway Springs. They will be hosting two tournaments again this spring: the Hillsboro Invitational April 7 and the Trojans Invitational April 19. Both tournaments will begin at 3 p.m. at the Sports Complex.

?I?m looking forward to the season as we?ll focus on helping all players improve, competing with integrity, and working together as a team to help each player have a positive experience,? Holmes said.
