The Canton-Galva softball roster features 18 athletes this season as the Eagles seek to improve upon last year’s 5-14 record under the direction of fourth-year coach Dean Scott.
Autumn Colgin returns as the Eagles’ only senior. She will be called upon to contribute behind the plate and in left field.
The Eagles will look to a number of juniors to aid the effort: Alex Koehn (center field), Taylor Everett (pitcher), Logan Dawes (first base), Emilie Johnson (right field) and Nicole Casebeer (first base).
Sophomores Ashton Brewer (third base) and Jillian Ross-Mason will also be called upon to contribute.
Newcomers to watch include freshmen JC Mastre (second base), Karen Nordstrom (catcher) and Lexi Burch (shortstop).
The Eagles were scheduled to open their season by hosting Remington Tuesday. Canton-Galva will host Hutchinson Trinity April 4.
