Centre golf team small but mighty

After one golfer qualified for state last year, Elias Jirak, the Centre Golf Team would like to send a few more to the meet in 2019.

First Year Head Coach Max Venable said that his squad doesn’t have enough golfers to qualify for any team accolades, but that the Centre group is ready to improve.

“The players are engaged in our preseason practices,” he said. “They have been very coachable thus far and willing to make changes for improvement.”

Returning this year is Jirak, Tyler Nickel, and Cameron Spohn for Centre.

The golf team gets started on April 5 with a trip to Hillsboro.
