Peabody-Burns striving for season of surprises

First-year head coach Bob Kyle will be looking to breathe new life into his Peabody-Burns boys basketball team this season.

With an 0-20 overall and 0-10 league record last year, the Warriors will be hungry for a win.

Peabody-Burns will see five returning starters back on the court: senior post Tyler Entz, junior guard Andrew Hauck, junior post Caleb VanCuren, junior Rocco Weerts, and junior point guard Jack Parks.

Transfer Paul Baatrap, senior, will also join the team this season, and freshmen Philip Young, Thomas Smith, Noal Reynolds, Jake Partridge and Alex Caldwell will hope to see some time on the court as well.

Kyle said the Warriors will strive “to surprise people and become better as the season goes on.”

They’ll start off the season at home against Herington on Friday, Nov. 30.
