The Canton-Galva girls’ basketball team and second-year coach Dean Scott will rely on some new faces this year, as the Eagles return just one starter from last year’s 10-12 team.
The Eagles will play without graduated seniors Kelli Nightingale, Autumn Colgin and Brittany Nordstrom this season and will rely on the leadership of their only returning starter, senior guard Taylor Everett.
Additional returning letter-winners are: juniors Kaysha Unruh (guard) and Katie Fiedler (forward) and sophomore Tia Moddelmog (guard).
Senior Maddie Snow returns to the team after a one-year hiatus. She is expected to contribute at post.
The Eagles will host Rural Vista Friday to start the season.
