Canton-Galva boys will capitalize on experience

Opting to stay in the Heart of America League, the Canton-Galva Eagles have experience returning on the boys? team this season following a 6-18 overall record and 2-12 in the HOA in 2009-10.

Nick Vogts returns as the Eagles? leading scorer. The junior guard averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists.

The Eagles also return their third-leading scorer, senior guard Taylor Myers, who averaging 6.9 points in eight games.

The senior will be joined by classmates Nathan Bray and Tad Wedel. Bray contributed 1.2 points per game while Wedel saw significant minutes last season and averaged 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds.

Juniors Kolby Moddelmog and Tyler Miller also are expected to see significant time this season.

CGHS opens Friday at home against Elyria Christian.
