Kyle is no stranger to the team; he served as the Warriors’ assistant coach for three seasons.

The Warriors lost five athletes to graduation and will field a roster of 20 this year.

Three starters return from last year’s 2-18 campaign: senior guards Chance Elliott (5-11) and Bryant Young (5-6) and junior post Tyler Entz (5-10).

Five sophomores are additional returning letter-winners: guards Rocco Weerts (5-9), Jess Philpott (5-7) and Andrew Hauck (5-8), post Caleb VanCuren (6-1) and guard/post Jack Parks (6-0).

Kyle said his team is young and looking to improve.

“(We are) hoping our speed will help us get up and down the court,” he said.

The Warriors will kick off the 2017 season Friday at Herington.
