Peabody football looking to improve

Peabody-Burns High School football coach Kody Tegtmeier is back this season for another year as head coach. During his first year as coach last year, the team’s record was 3-6 and they lost in the first round of playoffs.

However, they learned a lot and came back with a strong group of seniors.

“The key for us in 2019 (much like 2018) will be execution on all three sides of the ball. We need to understand our roles on the team and play those roles to the best of our abilities,” said Tegtmeier.

Along with understanding their roles better, the coach is working with the team on giving their all.

“It will be important for us to show up to practice every day ready to work and learn more about the game, and about why we do the things we do. We are an athletic team, but need to become more physical this fall.”

Coming—The Warriors kick off their season on Sept 6 at home against Moundridge.
