Golf to begin inaugural season at Tabor College

Head coach Mike Jamieson will be making history this year at Tabor College, bringing golf back to TC’s athletic lineup.

Seven freshmen will be on the roster for the Bluejays, including men’s team members Noah Birkeness, Sean Kelly, Logan Mathews, Daniel Rempel, Oscar Saldivar, and Adam Lindstrom and lone women’s competitor Erin Morrison.

“With all freshman on the team, we are looking to grow a lot this year,” Jamieson said. “I think the talent we have more than surpassed what I expected, so look for us to be competitive right away.”

The players and Jamieson will need to get used to competition in the KCAC, but he said the group is up for the challenge.

“We will have many goals for this upcoming season,” he said. “Our main performance goal will be to finish in the middle of our conference. If we can do that for our first year, we will position ourselves to compete for a conference championship sooner than later.”
