Hillsboro High School senior Tara Proffitt signed a letter of intent April 14 to play basketball next year at Sterling College.? In her first season as a starter, Proffitt shot 23.7 percent from the floor, including 21.5 percent from behind the arc. She averaged 4.1 points, 1.2 assists, 3.5 turnovers and 1.2 steals per contest for the 8-13 Trojans.
