Nellie Kassebaum represented the Cougars in the Class 1A state girls? 4-k cross country race Saturday in Wamego.
Kassebaum placed 55th among a field of 74 runners with a time of 19 minutes, 49.80 seconds.
?Nellie worked hard this season and deserved to compete at state,? coach Cindy Riedel said. ?She had a good run and met the goals she set for herself.
