Warriors fourth with two top finishers

Five Marion wrestlers finished in the top three at the Hoisington Wrestling Tournament Friday to propel the Warriors to a fourth-place finish.

?We wrestled pretty well,? coach Chad Adkins said. ?We just need to continue getting better, and we have to be consistent.?

Two Warriors won their respective weight classes, Beretta Janzen at 113 pounds and Brody Carroll at 152.

Evan Slater finished second in the 220-pound weight class, while Eric Regnier (126 pounds) and Adam Janzen (182) each earned third place finishes to pace the Warriors.

JV at Marion?Four Warriors won their respective weight classes at Saturday?s home junior-varsity tournament.

Coming in first were: Remington Putter (120 pounds), Luke Steele (145), Adam Janzen (182) and Dirk Young (220).

Zac Dvorak (152) and Adam Kjellin (285) rounded out the Marion wrestlers with third place finishes.

Coming?The Warriors are scheduled to compete Thursday in a double dual at Chase County at 5:30 p.m. and follow with the Onaga Dual Tournament Friday at 5:30.
