Warrior golf team third at Marion

Jared Hague putts on the sixth green at the Warrior Golf Tournament in Marion Tuesday. Hague led the Warriors with an 18-hole score of 104, good for seventh place. As a team, the Warriors finished third with a four-man score of 437.Jared Hague led the Warrior golf team at the Warrior Golf Tournament at the Marion Country Club Tuesday.

Hague carded a 104 over 18 holes to place seventh among a field of 23 golfers.

?Jared is starting to get his control of drives, and his short game is improving,? coach Jim Pohlman said.

Kaden Gibson shot a 109 (11th place), Jade Corona 112 (12th), Ezra Darnall 112 (13th), Jayton Scott 115 (15th) and Ian Orrock 140 (22nd).

Of the five participating schools, three recorded four-man team scores. The Warriors placed third with a score of 437 behind Goessel (401) and Remington (403).

?The team as a whole played great,? Pohlman said. ?I am so pleased with the way they are improving.?

Coming?The Warriors will compete in Newton Thursday at 3 p.m.
