The Cougars split with Sunrise (12-25, 16-25) and St. Xavier (25-11, 25-12) last Tuesday. Allison Shields had 16 kills on the night. Anna Weber had six blocks against Sunrise. Centre hosted a triangular Oct. 6 and plays in the league tournament at Hope on Saturday. Centre visits White City Oct. 13.

Goessel?

The Bluebirds went 2-0 at the Peabody Triangular Sept. 29. They beat Berean (25-22, 28-30, 25-15) and Peabody (25-20, 25-19) and are now 6-3 in league play, 21-6 overall.

Karis Janzen scored 16 kills with 16 and Aspen Frey had 11. Janzen also led in blocks with 12.

Jessica Goertzen led in aces with five and in assists with 44.

Goessel hosted Little River and Sedgwick Tuesday and will play at Remington Oct. 13.
