The Marion Warriors were well-represented among the Heart of Ameri?ca all-league football selections of league coaches.
The Warriors, who qualified for the Class 3A state playoffs and ended their season with a 9-2 record, had eight players recognized on both offense and defense.
Four Warriors were named to the first team offense:?senior offensive linemen Morgan Wheeler and Nick Meyer, junior back Adam Janzen and senior kicker Grif Case.
Marion was represented on the second-team offense by senior lineman Zac Lew?man, senior receiver James Jones and senior quarterback Taylor Heide?brecht.
Jacob Baldwin, a junior tight end, received honorable mention.
On defense, three War?riors made the first-team:?Wheeler as a lineman, Jones in the secondary and junior Kyle Palic at linebacker.
Three seniors were named to the second team on defense: linemen John Nordquist and Meyer and punter Caleb Williams.
Williams received honorable mention as a linebacker, as did senior back Zach Robson.
