Trojans 9th at 2A state golf

The Hillsboro golf team, making its third consecutive appearance at state, placed ninth among 12 teams competing at the Class 2A tournament at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg.

Colin Settle led the Trojans with a 94, which placed him 37th among 88 competitors. Elliot Ollenbur­ger was close behind with a 96 for 39th place. Elias Werth shot an even 100 for 56th, Avery Unruh a 105 for 64th, Joe Knoll a 105 for 65th, and Darian Ratzlaff a 115 for 74th place.

Cole Elmore of Sacred Heart won the tournament’s individual title with a score of 67; the team cruised to a 57-stroke victory over runner-up St. Marys Colgin, 279-336.
