Squires wins Senior Open golf tourney at Hillsboro

Ken Squires won the Hillsboro Senior Men?s Golf Tournament in a three-way scorecard playoff Sept. 1 at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.

Squires and Dale Lambert, playing in the age 80 and older division, along with Jim Roberts from the 55-59 age division, tied for the top score among 63 entrants with a 76 for 18 holes.

Following are the top three finishers in each of the seven age divisions.

Age 50-54: Tim Christensen 78, Rod Erickson 81, Greg Carlson 82.

Age 55-59: Jim Roberts 76, Ken Johnson 77, Stan Utting 77.

Age 60-64: Carl Helm 87, Bernie Waner 89, Bob Dobbins 119.

Age 65-69: Richard Knaak 77, Charles Killburn 80, Larry Hague 81.

Age 70-74: Davie Weihe 87, Carl Long 89, Ron Sturgeon 89.

Age 75-79: Russ Wade 91, John Shofe 88, Bill Pickens 89.

Age 80 & up: Ken Squires 76, Dale Lambert 76, Elton Weeks 79.
