Small Marion track team competes at Sterling CKTL meet

The Marion track and field team took a small group of Warriors to the Sterling CKTL Tuesday.

?We had a good day with 14 PRs for the athletes we took there,? coach Grant Thierolf said. ?It is good to get more meets in for these athletes and to let them work on their events.?

The Marion boys turned in two fourth-place finishes: Devin Regnier in pole vault (8 feet, 6 inches), and Tyler Arocha, Daniel Hinton, Regnier and Bryce Shults in the 4×100 relay (53.29 seconds).

For the girls, Kaitlyn Goebel was fourth in pole vault (5-6) and Brittany Hett finished fourth in the 3,200 (17:46).

Coming?Marion competed at Smoky Valley Thursday. Results were not available at press time. The Warriors were scheduled to compete at Moundridge Tuesday and will travel to Halstead Friday.
