With six athletes on the Peabody-Burns golf team this year, the Warriors hope to build on a 2012 season in which PBHS placed fourth out of 11 schools at regionals and qualified two golfers for state.

Led by 10-year coach Jim Pohlman, the Warriors will rely heavily on four returning letter-winners to anchor this year?s team.

Topping that list is senior Tommy Morris, a returning state qualifier who placed 65th at state in a field of 92.

Senior McKenzie Ens?minger, who competed in last year?s regional tournament, will also be expected to contribute.

Other returning letter-winners are junior Cierra Foth, a member of the regional team, and sophomore Brooks Hodges.

?I believe the four returning lettermen can really be a strong team, even though there is no experience to back them up,? Pohlman said.

New to the team this year are senior Joe Partridge and sophomore Brent Buller.

The Warrior golfers are scheduled to begin play at El Dorado April 1.
