PBHS?grad Andrew Topham honored for running prowess

Southwestern College senior Andrew Topham, a 2007 Peabody-Burns High School graduate, was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference men?s cross country runner of the week.

Topham finished fourth at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational out of 102 runners with a time of 25:26 in the 8,000 meters. He was the top finisher for the second-place Moundbuilders.

This is the second such award for Topham this season. He feted for Sept. 13-19 after a 39th-place finish at the Missouri Southern Stampede Sept. 18 in Joplin.

Topham is the son of PBHS cross-country and track coach Kim Topham.
