MHS wrestlers win 1 of 3 duals

Marion wrestlers went 1-2 at the triple-dual tournament they hosted Thursday.

The Warriors defeated Hillsboro, 28-23, and lost to Hoising?ton, 44-27, and Smoky Valley, 46-28.

Eric Regneir went 2-1 in the 119-pound weight class, winning two matches by forfeit before getting pinned by Alex Wolf of Smokey Valley.

Teammate Randy Regnier went 3-0 at 125, pinning Bryce Boxberger of Hoisington, Colter Kishbiel of Smoky Valley and Darren Mueller of Hillsboro.

Brody Carroll went 3-0 at 130, including a pin of Smoky Valley?s Alex Chesbro.

Christian Larsen went 2-1 at 135, defeating Cody Delk of Hillsboro and gaining a forfeit, but losing to Kyle Ryan of Smoky Valley.

Cole Lewman went 1-3 at 140, including a loss by fall to Justin King of Hillsboro.

Derrick Dvorak went 0-3 at 152, including a pin by Lars Petersen of Smoky Valley.

Galen Funk went 1-2 at 160, pinning Hagen Hanzlick of Hoisington, but getting pinned by Trevor Whittaker of Smoky Valley.

Andrew Kjellin went 0-3 at 171, including a pin by Weston Loder of Smoky Valley.

Zac Lewman also went 0-3 at 189, with all three losses coming by fall.

Dirk Young went 2-1 at 215, winning two matches by forfeit and getting pinned by Kaitin Sanousek of Hoisington.

Coming?The Warriors are scheduled to compete this weekend at the Class 3-2-1A regional at Beloit.
