Without Luke Gordon for Friday?s Sacred Heart Invitational, Landon Leiker and Nick Bronnert led the Warriors to a second place 2-man finish, and to third place in the 4-man standings.
Both Leiker and Bronnert shot 84, with tiebreakers putting Bronnert fifth and Leiker sixth individually. Scott Jones (98) and Jared Vondencamp (92) rounded out the Warriors top four.
With a 4-man score of 358, Marion finished behind only Hillsboro (328) and Quivera Heights (354).
Led by Luke Gordon, the Marion High School golf team took second place at the Bennington Invitational Tuesday.
With a team score of 355, the Warriors placed five strokes behind Clay Center but two strokes ahead of Hillsboro in the 12-team competition.
Gordon?s round of 77 earned him the individual title. Lindsay Hett (88) placed eighth.
Coming?The Marion Invitational was played Tuesday starting at 3 p.m., and the Marion County Meet is set to begin at 8 a.m. Friday. The Mid-Central Activities Association meet is slated for 3 p.m. May 11 at Marion Country Club.
