Marion volleyball improved its play, but continued to struggle, finishing the week 3-4.
Marion dropped all three matches Tuesday at Inman. The Warriors lost to Ell-Saline, 22-25, 16-25, Inman 19-25, 20-25, and Hutchinson Trinity, 23-25, 15-25.
Marion bounced back Saturday at the Belle Plaine tournament, sweeping its first three matches before dropping its final two.
The Warriors opened by defeating Attica, 25-11, 25-9. Marion then swept host Belle Plaine, 31-29, 25-23. They picked up the final win against South Barber 25-14, 25-19.
The Warriors? last two opponents were not as kind. Marion fell to Inman for the second time last week, 26-24, 17-25, 11-25.
The Warriors were then swept by Wichita Trinit,y 15-25, 15-25.
Coming?Marion (13-13) finished regular season play Tuesday at the Moundridge Triangular.
Oct. 16, the Warriors will go to Berean Academy in Elbing for the Heart of America League Tournament.
