The Marion High School volleyball team thrashed Sterling (25-18, 25-20) and Smoky Valley (15-25, 25-23, 25-19) Sept. 29 at Sterling. The Warriors season record stands at 19-6.
Whitney Gordon totaled 13 kills?10 against Sterling?while Julia Zeiner had eight against the Black Bears and 14 against the Vikings. Lindsay Hett posted four aces against Sterling.
Marion?s attack sputtered in the first game against Smoky Valley, but posted 45 kills against 18 errors in the four wins.
Coming?Marion hosted a triangular with Hillsboro and Halstead Tuesday and will host a junior varsity tournament on Saturday.
The Warriors will hold their ?senior night? on Oct. 13.
