Marion softball players make all-league lists

Seven members of Marion’s 11-6 softball team have received recognition from Heart of America coaches.

Two Warriors received first-team honors.

Freshman shortstop Jayden May batted .617 this season (37-for-60), including eight doubles, six triples and one home run. She drove in 19 runs.

Sophomore outfielder Chisholm Waner batted .448 this season (26-for-58), including seven doubles, two triples and two home runs. She drove in 21 runs.

Three Warriors were named to the second team.

Sophomore catcher Macy Sigel batted .340 this season (16-for-47), including one double. She had 13 RBIs.

Senior first baseman Tori Shults batted .414 this season (24-for-58), including two doubles. She drove in 17 runs. In her career at Marion, Shults batted .376 (41-for-109), including five doubles and two triples. She had 30 RBIs.

Senior outfielder Corrina Crabb batted .328 this season (22-for-67) and drove in five runs.

In her Warrior career, Crabb batted .335 (54-for-161) and had 28 RBIs.

Two Warriors received honorable mention honors.

Junior pitcher Grace Overton went 6-3 on the mound this season with an ERA of 2.42 over 52 innings of work. She struck out 43 batters.

Sophomore third baseman Laura Savage batted .500 this season (30-for-60), including nine doubles, one triple and three home runs. She drove in 35 runs.
