Lyons man wins Senior Open tourney

Bret Rumler of Lyons was the top medalist at the 38th annual Hillsboro Seniors Golf Tourna?ment Sept. 12 on the municipal course.

Rumler shot a 68 for 18 holes to lead all participants, including his 50-54 age category. David Sheppard of Hillsboro shot the second-best score overall with a 75, and won the 55-59 age bracket.
