Seven players from Hills?boro High School?s Central Kansas League co-championship team have received all-league recognition from league coaches.
Four Trojans were picked for the first team, two for the second team and one received honorable mention.
Senior Tena Loewen was a unanimous pick for the first-team outfield. She was joined by teammates Danae Bina, a junior, at shortstop, and sophomores Julie Sinclair at first base and Madison Klein at second base.
Chosen for the second team were sophomore pitcher Allison Weber and sophomore catcher Bradli Nowak.
Sophomore Emily Jost received honorable mention for her play in the outfield.
Hillsboro (18-5 overall) and Smoky Valley (16-6) posted the best league records at 14-4. Pratt (18-5) and Haven (13-5) finished 12-4 in the CKL because of cancelations caused by the cool and wet spring weather.
Six Smoky Valley players received all-league recognition, nine from Pratt, six from Haven and seven from Lyons, which finished 11-5 in league play. Pratt and Lyons qualified for the state tournaments in Class 4A and 3A, respectively.
