Knolla paces MHS at Eureka Invit?l

The Marion cross-country team wrapped up the regular season at Eureka Tuesday.

?Today was a beautiful day for a cross-country race,? coach Rebecca Hofer said. ?It was not too hot, not too cold, and the wind was a gentle breeze. We finally had nice weather for a change.?

Timothy Knolla paced the Warriors, finishing sixth in the boys? 5-k race in 19 minutes, 5.5 seconds.

Jared Hague finished 11th (19:45.36), Quinton Hett was 38th (22:00.77), Taylor Fahey was 40th (22:06.84, PR) and Seth Savage was 42nd (22:32.64, PR).

McKenzee Remmers placed 11th in the girls? 4-k race in 18:17.71.

In the junior varsity race, Kaylie Waner was sixth (21:58), Shyla Harris was seventh (22:15) and Brittany Hett was ninth (23:05).

Coming?The Warriors will host the Heart of America league meet Thursday at the Marion Country Club. The girls? race is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at 5 p.m.
