Marion finished fifth and Hillsboro seventh at the annual Hillsboro Boys JV Tournament that ended Saturday.
Marion lost to Inman, 43-37, then defeated Hillsboro, 37-27, on Feb. 7, then defeated Mound?ridge, 59-37, in the fifth-place game. Hillsboro lost to the eventual champion, Hesston, 49-42, in the opening round and to Marion, 37-27, Feb. 7. The Trojans then defeated Herington, 55-38, Feb. 14.
The other four teams competing were Inman, Berean, Moundridge and Halstead.
