Hinerman paces HHS at Herington

Jonathan Hinerman paced Hillsboro runners at the Centre Invitational at Herington Thursday. He finished fourth among 45 runners with a time of 21 minutes, 31 seconds. Hillsboro cross-county runners competed at the Centre Invitational at Her­ing­ton Thursday.

Senior Jonathan Hiner­man paced the Trojans, finishing fourth among 45 runners with a time of 21 minutes, 31 seconds. Steve Cline of Halstead won the race in 20:38.4.

Abby Driggers placed 14th among 26 runners in the girls’ varsity race with a time of 28:34.

In junior varsity races, Caleb Rempel placed second in a field of 56 boys in 23:06. Avery Unruh placed 42nd in 31:40 and Orin Blecha 44th in 32:49. The winning time was 22:59.

In the girls JV race, Millie Sechrist finished fifth in a field of 127 runners in 33:33.

Coming—The Trojans were scheduled to compete Tuesday at the Southeast of Saline Invitational. Their next race will be the Berean Invitational at Harvey County East Lake with races starting at 4 p.m.
