Hinerman medals at Southeast of Saline

Jonathan Hinerman, Hillsboro?s only runner competing in a varsity race, finished 15th in a field of 89 competitors Sept. 22 at the Southeast of Saline Invita?tional.

?Jonathan Hinerman continues to medal in the boys? varsity races,? coach Stuart Holmes noted. The junior completed the 5K course in 19 minutes, 8 seconds.

In the girls? junior varsity race, freshman Abby Drig?gers lowered her school record at the new 5K distance, placing fourth among 30 runners in 25:05.

?Abby has run three races at the 5K distance this season and improved the record each time, which is good, consistent improvement,? Holmes said.

Senior teammate Lydia Kliewer also earned a medal by finishing sixth in 25:35.

In the boys? JV race, Tristan Donaldson placed 41st among 89 runners in 23:24. He was followed by Samuel Damon (49th, 24:00), Tucker Moss (55th, 24:50) and Avery Unruh (80th, 27:30).

Coming?The Trojans will be running Thursday in the Berean Invitational at Harvey County East Park. Races begin at 4 p.m.
