?It was a good start to the season,? coach Stuart Holmes said. ?Our three returning lettermen (Hagen, Hamm, Shewey) played well.

?It was particularly good to see Taylor and Jarod play better with each match, win a tie-breaker in their second match and then finish strong in the last one.?

These were the first varsity matches for Bookless and King and the first match ever for Allen, who is in his first year with the program.

Coming?Hillsboro was scheduled to compete at Linds?borg Tuesday, then will host its first home invitational Thursday at the Sports Complex. Matches begin at 3 p.m.
