The Trojans pulled off another victory on Friday night over Wabaunsee 32-6 to pull Hillsboro to 4-1 on the season.

While Hillsboro scored each quarter, it was not as much as many had predicted.

“It wasn’t a pretty win by any means, but a win’s a win. We’d like to get it in a better condition, but we got the win anyways,” said Coach Devin Metzinger. “We’ll get some things cleaned up for next week.”

Hillsboro got the scoring going in the first quarter when Jorge Hanschu busted a 56-yard run to pay dirt to go up 7-0.

Hanschu lead the offense with three touchdowns and 95 rushing yards. He also had 188 yards through the air with a touchdown pass and three picks.

Up 14-6 in the third quarter, Hanshu hit Caleb Potucek on a 56-yard touchdown pass to give Hillsboro a comfortable lead, 20-6.

Brooke Gardner had 95 rushing yards and scored the final points of the game with a touchdown at the end of the fourth quarter.

Hillsboro will be away this week playing Marion. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
