Hillsboro crushes Lyons on the road

LYONS- Score after score kept going up for the Trojans (1-1) it was hard to keep up in their game against Lyons last week. Hillsboro defeated Lyons, 42-0, which included a 22-0 start to end the first quarter.

Jorge Hanschu led the way with 126 passing yards and a touchdown pass and 135 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

It was Caleb Potucek who got the scoring going for the Trojans with a 34-yard run. He followed that up with a five-yard run later in the quarter to put Hillsboro up 16-0.

Two Hanschu touchdown runs later and the score was 28-0 before Hanschu connected with Josiah Driggers on a 14-yard touchdown in the third to make the margin 34-0.

In the dominate performance, Hillsboro totaled 351 yards and held Lyons to just 23 of their own. The Trojans also forced five turnovers on defense.

They will look for more of the same against Haven this Friday when they host the Wildcats at 7 p.m. Haven is 1-1 with their only win also against Lyons.
