The Hillsboro golf team finished with a team score of 343 to lead the field of eight schools competing at the Halstead Invitational May 2 at Wedgewood Country Club.
The Trojans won by 15 strokes over the runner-up, Sedgwick, at 358. Halstead followed with 363, Buhler 415, Burrton 421, Pratt 441, Nickerson 468 and Kingman 507.
Elliot Ollenburger led Hillsboro with an 18-hole score of 83, two strokes behind the individual medalist, Owen Gartner of Halstead. Elias Werth placed fourth at 85, Carson Herbel fifth at 87 and Caroline Roth sixth at 88 to round out the four-person team score.
Colin Settle placed 13th at 98 and Joe Knoll 14th at 98.
Coming—Hillsboro was scheduled to compete in the Central Kansas League tournament Tuesday at Kingman. The regional tournament will be May 15 at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.
