HHS to choose homecoming royalty

HHShomecomingCand697.jpg Hillsboro High School announced the candidates for homecoming king and queen Friday. The candidates for king are (bottom to top) Nathan Vogel, Taylor Loewen, Taylor Hagen, Daniel Kunantaev and Jacob Fish. The candidates for queen are (bottom to top) Sarah Unruh, Andrea Bartel, Candace Weinbrenner, Taryn Mayfield and Dakota Kaufman. The student vote for royalty will be announced at the crowning ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Joel Wiens Stadium prior to the football game with Lyons. The annual homecoming pep rally will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Main and Grand. In a change from tradition, the four classes will not be preparing floats this year.
