The combined Marion and Peabody-Burns Warrior golf team made its debut at the Herington Invitational Tuesday.
?I was greatly pleased with the way (the team) played,? coach Jim Pohlman said. ?Four out of the six had never played in a golf tournament before.?
Jared Hague led the Warriors with an 18-hole score of 108, good for 29th place among a field of 58 golfers. Jayton Scott shot a 121 (46th), Jade Corona 128 (50th), Kaden Gibson 129 (51st), Ian Orrock 142 (54th) and Ezra Darnall 151 (58th).
As a team, the Warriors placed nine of 10 with a score of 486. Southeast of Saline won with 387.
Coming?The Warriors were scheduled to play at the Marion Country Club hosted by Peabody-Burns Tuesday and will compete at Fox Ridge in Newton in a meet hosted by Remington April 24.
