Hague anchors Warrior golf

Jared Hague once again paved the way for the Warrior golf team at the Marion County Invitational 36-hole tournament Friday at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course and Marion Country Club.

Hague recorded an 18-hole score of 100 in Hillsboro and a 92 over 18 holes in Marion to place 40th with a 36-hole score of 192.

Ezra Darnall shot a 213 (114 Hillsboro, 99 Marion), Jade Corona 216 (117, 99), and Jayton Scott 229 (105, 124).

As a team, the Warriors placed 10th with an overall score of 850 (436 Hillsboro, 414 Marion). Sterling won the tournament with 636 (317, 319).

Marion?Jared Hague led the Warriors at Marion Tuesday, carding a 98 over 18 holes to help the Warriors to a fourth-place team finish with a score of 427.

Sacred Heart won the meet with 371, followed by Remington (388)?and Goessel (400).

Rounding out the Warrior team were Kaden Gibson (107), Jade Corona (108), Jayton Scott (114), Ian Orrock (128) and Lauren McLinden (186).

?Every tournament there is improvement,? coach Jim Pohlman said. ?I am so proud.?

Coming?The team was scheduled to compete at Hutchinson Monday. Regional golf will be held Monday.
