Goessel Volleyball gets off to hot start

After competing in their own invitational tournament, the Goessel Volleyball team is 7-2 and placed third in the Bluebird Tournament.

In pool play they defeated Canton Galva in straight sets, 25-21 and 28-26. Then they beat Central Christian in straight sets, 25-20 and 25-14. Finally they left pool play undefeated beating Wichita Independent, 25-18 and 25-22.

In the semi-finals lost to Halstead in straight sets, 25-21 and 25-17. In the third place game they got back in the win column against Canton Galva who they beat 25-18 and 25-22.

To begin the season they lost to Herington, 25-18 and 25-17 and then beat Little River 25-14 and 25-23.

The Bluebird Volleyball team gets back into action at home in a modified quad on September 13. Then they play at Wakefield on September 18.
