Hutchinson Community College sophomore Page Hiebert became the 14th Blue Dragon Volleyball All-American, being named on Thursday to the 2017 NJCAA second team.

Hiebert a 6-foot outside hitter from Goessel, is the first All-American since Aubrey Wilson in 2015. She is the fifth All-American in coach Patrick Hall’s six seasons with the Blue Dragons.

Hiebert had one of the best offensive seasons in Blue Dragon program history in leading the Blue Dragons to a 27-14 season record, a Region VI Tournament championship and an appearance in the NJCAA Tournament, the first held in Hutchinson in tournament history.

Hutchinson’s outside hitter led the nation in total kills with 578 and was third in the NJCAA in kills per set at 4.10.

The Blue Dragon sophomore had six matches of 20 or more kills; she tied a Hutchinson single match record for kills with 28 against No. 2 Iowa Western in the Midwest Superstore/Blue Dragon Classic Sept. 22 at the Sports Arena. She also set a single-match record with 82 total attacks in that same match.

Hiebert’s 578 total kills ranked third in Blue Dragon single-season history and her 4.10 kills per set ranked second in team season history.

Hiebert also totaled 1,604 total attacks, which is a season record for the Blue Dragons. Her 11.38 swings per set broke another Hutch record.

Hiebert also had 379 total digs (2.69 digs per set), 60 total blocks (0.43 blocks per set) and a team-high 41 aces (0.29 aces per set).

Hiebert posted 10 double-doubles this season.

Hiebert was a two-time first-team All-Jayhawk West selection and 2016 Jayhawk West Freshman of the Year.

She was one of two Jayhawk West players to earn All-America status this season.
